Coronavirus: do your Co-Check!

Evaluate your preventive habits and daily safety measures against viral transmission.

1. I always wash my hands (before having a meal, after going out, after every toilet visit, etc.).
Because regular hand washing is the most effective measure to slow down the transmission of the coronavirus.
2. I avoid touching my face.
Because by touching your eyes, mouth or nose the risk of introducing the virus via the mucous membranes is considerable. I try to become aware of every time I touch my face and gradually decrease the frequency.
3. I regularly clean my living space, my personal belongings (phone…), and my workspace.
Because the virus survives on objects for up to three days. I try to become aware of the objects I touch, especially after I have been out and been in contact with others.
4. When greeting someone, I avoid physical contact.
Because the virus survives for several hours on your body and clothes.
5. I keep a distance of 2 meters from others.
Because the virus is transported in the air by fine droplets.
6. I limit my visits to high risk and crowded places such as hospitals, shops, airports.
Because the risk of being infected and infecting others is higher.
7. I cough and sneeze in the fold of my arm.
To avoid infecting others in case I am infected.
8. I wear a mask in places where I cannot keep physical distance (example: public transport).
Because by wearing a mask I avoid infecting others and reduce my risk of being infected.
9. I care for everyone without prejudice.
Because discrimination slows down our collective resistance to the coronavirus, I maintain the same respectful attitude towards everyone.
10. I am extra careful when meeting with older and vulnerable persons.
Because the elderly and people with multiple illnesses have a higher risk of severe outcomes.
